Janice Brodowsky
My postings will be things that I have heard, seen, or read that have inspired introspection and reflection. My goal is to practice living mindfully and in the "now." They may come in the form of a quote or just a random thought to reflect on. Written with hope that something I write or post will not just help me, but others on a similar path. I am hopeful that others will share their thoughts and inspirations with me. - Janice Brodowsky

Quietness, by Janice Brodowsky
There is something to be said for silence and quietness. There is a healing element to it. It is hard to achieve though. Whether the noise is all around you, or if your thoughts take you away from the quietness. I guess that's what meditation practice is supposed to be for. Being able to hear the noise, acknowledge it, and then go back to the breath....

Post by Janice Brodowsky
"Life is lived in the present.Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow is yet to be. Today is the miracle."
-I am unable to identify author of this quote
It seems so simple doesn't it? "Just live for today, and in the present moment." Unfortunately, things that seem so simple on the surface, are usually not simple at all. The "Yesterday is gone" part of this quote has been a huge hurdle for me. I am, however working on it, and if I ever find the "answer," I will share it with others. To me, that's what it's all about anyway.
